Vượt xa Ngôn từ: Liệu AI có Thay thế Việc Học Ngôn ngữ của Con người? | Min Shen | TEDxUniversiti Brunei Darussalam
In an era where artificial intelligence is advancing at a rapid pace, from generating articles to translating languages almost instantaneously, we’re faced with critical questions: Will AI one day replace the need for humans to learn languages? As AI masters natural language processing, should we still invest our time and effort in learning languages ourselves? In this thought-provoking talk, Dr Min Shen will explore why human language learning remains irreplaceable despite AI’s impressive capabilities. We’ll delve into the deeper cultural and emotional connections that language learning fosters—connections that machines can’t replicate. Through interactive exercises, I’ll demonstrate how human intuition, implicit knowledge, and the ability to adapt to subtle social cues make us far superior in communication, especially in diverse cultural contexts. At the heart of this presentation lies a key message: Language learning isn’t just about words—it’s about preserving identity, building meaningful connections, and understanding ourselves in an increasingly converging world. AI can assist us, but it will never replace the richness of human language learning, which is crucial for authentic, effective global communication and cultural preservation.
