You’ve heard of Dante’s Inferno—the fiery descent through Hell’s nine circles. But what about its often-overlooked sequel… Dante’s Purgatorio? Between Heaven and Hell lies a mysterious realm: Purgatory—where souls endure brutal trials to earn redemption. Think Hell was bad? You haven’t seen anything like this.

But what actually happens in Dante’s Purgatorio? Why is it overshadowed by Inferno? And what trials await those climbing ascending the seven terraces Mount Purgatory? In this video, I shall retell the story of Dante's Purgatorio, and explain the seven steps of Purgatory. Enjoy!
